Design Philosophy

I believe a room feels right when it makes you feel something. Materials, finishes, lighting and form all work together to create that feeling, whether it’s calm, energized, comfortable or simply happy.

I’m naturally drawn to spaces that feel warm and natural, with thoughtful details, colour and character rather than feeling overly polished or designed. I believe a home should reflect the people who live there, and that design should support both how you live and how you want to feel.

3D visualization is an important part of my process. Seeing a design come together allows both the designer and client to better understand the space before it is built, making it easier to consider the details, materials, lighting and overall feeling with confidence.

Every project is unique, and the process is thoughtfully tailored to the needs of each client and the scope of the work.

Discover

Every project begins with understanding you, your home, and how you want to live in it. We’ll discuss your goals, priorities, aesthetic, budget, and the practical considerations that will shape the design.

Develop

With a clear direction in place, I develop the design as a cohesive whole, considering layout, materials, finishes, lighting, millwork and furnishings. 3D visualization brings the design to life, allowing you to experience the space before it’s built and make confident decisions along the way.

Refine

Once the initial direction is established, the design is refined as needed to ensure the details work together and the final direction feels both functional and personal.

Deliver

The final design is brought together in a clear, cohesive set of documents that communicates the design, details and specifications to everyone involved, creating a shared understanding of the project from design through construction.
